ISO standards are interesting ways to improve processes and tend to make a Multidisciplinary evaluation of all the elements of the company. The ISO has regulations for several cases and types of companies, so it is almost impossible not to find a common regulator standard. Another novel aspect is that, regarding the first editions, an effort is being made to simplify terminology so that the upcoming versions are easier to understand for novices in the field. These regulations are being adopted by a greater number of companies, which guarantees its continuous implementation ahead.

For all these reasons, the quality management, environmental management and risk
management regulations are a key element given the economy global dynamics. Normative
harmonization is essential, since legislative harmonization is mostly impossible due to the political
interests that prevail in each country. The ISO regulations fulfill this function because of their
reference position, accepted by most countries.
